Meet Our Team

Susan Miller

Susan is the President & Founder of JDI Consulting.  The first 25 years of Susan's career were in Information Technology and Vendor Management with Humana (a Fortune 100 health benefits company) where she created and directed Humana’s Vendor Management Organization (VMO). Responsible for $100M+ in technology procurement, her practices and leadership delivered a savings of at least $15M annually. Susan began consulting in 2013 and founded JDI in 2016 with the goal of creating a honest, female-led firm with a focus on assisting clients with all aspects of vendor management. She is an expert in strategic sourcing and complex contract negotiations. 

 

Simply put, if Susan is leading your project, you will optimize your savings as well as walk away with a contract that covers your unique requirements and terms that truly protect your investment. She understands creating and running a real world, efficient, working vendor management office. Specializing in Gap Analysis, she developed a process to identify where a company’s sourcing and procurement stands, as compared to best practices, and how to prioritize and implement the opportunities for improvement.    

 

Susan has significant experience acting as a C-Suite advisor recommending trends in emerging technologies, as well as identifying potential acquisitions.   She has been a speaker at conferences including ProcureCon, McKesson’s Executive Healthcare Forum and the Microsoft Technology Forum.

 

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Louisville. Go Cards.

President and Founding Partner

Tamara Keenan

Growing strategic partnerships that produce tangible savings and protection for our clients is the heart of JDI and to us it’s personal.  As Vice President of Business Development, Tamara not only reaches out to potential clients to expose them to the many ways JDI can benefit their organization, but also concentrates on continued development and satisfaction with existing clients by assisting in contract review and contract management for acquisitions or mergers and in supporting the strategic sourcing process of identification, review, and selection of vendor solutions.  Bringing her exemplary communication and organization skills to each project, Tamara is adept at setting expectations with each vendor and assuring the selection and review process runs smoothly.  

 

Tamara also has extensive experience as a communication strategist and copywriter, assisting companies with both internal and external communications, marketing, executive interface and policy development.  She is masterful at carefully crafting critical communications and marketing material.  

 

Recently, Tamara directed the sale and merger of a highly-regulated business, managing due diligence, and file convergence while coordinating multiple owners, attorneys and governing entities to assure a smooth transition.

 

A seasoned multi-tasker, Tamara brings diverse experience from a two-decade career in commercial real estate development and management. Specializing in client retention for multiple properties and nearly 100 tenants, ranging from small professional to Fortune 500, she developed unique value-adding programs for clients while involved with assuring exceptional daily operations.

Vice President, Business Development

Doris Ooley

Doris assists in the implementation and management of contract management systems. She is responsible for assessing contracts, identifying critical data and entering the information in a searchable and logical manner for easy access and action by clients. She prepares critical reports for management and ensures advance notices are sent regarding upcoming Notice Period Due Dates and Expiration Dates. Doris is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data as well as notification to management of any contract exceptions, inconsistencies, and potential savings opportunities. Her ability to pay attention to contract details and place emphasis on customer service has made her a valuable asset in successfully building and maintaining integrity in a contract management system. 

 

Doris spent most of her career as an officer in the banking industry. She served 6 years as a Loan Officer and Branch Manager for PNC Bank. She later accepted a position with The New Washington State Bank (NWSB) and was promoted to Vice President. She served 17 years with NWSB, primarily in the mortgage industry. Her experience in banking and contract management has provided her with a “never-compromise” attitude toward confidentiality and customer service as well as a heightened awareness of the importance of paying attention to the details. These attributes provide JDI with a reliable resource to help make your next contracting experience more complete, productive, and profitable.

 

Doris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana University Southeast.

Consultant and Senior Analyst

Brigitte Schreiber

Brigitte (Gitti) is JDI's Office Manager and brings to the company a wealth of management and support experience. Beginning her career at IBM in Poughkeepsie, New York, Gitti gained experience in Human Resources, Recruiting and Publications. After relocating to Louisville, she continued to work full-time at YUM! Brands while attending Indiana University Southeast and later the University of Louisville receiving a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business.   Friendly and outgoing, Gitti is always willing to learn new skills and is a genuine asset to the JDI team.  Gitti has volunteered at the Italian Cultural Institute and Trinity United Methodist Church as well as led a Missions Commission that assisted in distribution of funds to local, state and worldwide missions. Gitti has a love of all dogs, books and thoroughbred race horses (ask her about owning a 2011 Kentucky Derby contender).

Office Manager

Daris Benton

Daris is an analyst for JDI Consulting and provides contract analysis support for acquisitions and mergers and strategic sourcing initiatives. In addition to contract analysis, Daris led the initiative to research, document and submit JDI’s logo for federal trademark.  Daris’ past experience includes working at Louisville Slugger as a SAP Materials Management Analyst responsible for collaborating and coordinating with customer service team and vendors to evaluate material data and to ensure inventory accuracy.  Daris also worked at Beam Suntory as a Billing Associate responsible for managing a $60 million monthly billing process of all Beam premium spirits for domestic bailment in 16 states.  Daris has expertise in data mining, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, statistical analysis, procurement, SAP, Microsoft Excel and Netsuite.  

 

Daris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (major: Supply Chain Management)  from Auburn University. War Eagle!

Izzie Miller

Izzie is a 12 year old Havanese who has competed in agility but is now retired and sleeps all day beside Susan's desk.  

Executive Support

Cali Benton

Cali is a rescue Havanese and came to Daris with some quirks. She's the alpha dog and can be a bit standoffish.  When she finally decides she likes you, she is quite friendly and entertaining. 

Chow Hound

Ryder Brightwell

Little Ryder is Susan's granddog.  Her main job is to drive Izzie nuts. 

Office Nut

Nikki Keenan

Nikki is Tamara's Shiba Inu.  Nicki is laid-back, low maintenance and happy to follow commands, if and when she wants to.    

Office "Cat"

Mallow and Buckeye Schreiber

Buckeye and Mallow are Gitti's rescue Havanese.  Buckeye is a one in a million friendly guy who is loved and adored by all.  Mallow, not so much.
